WASATCH PUBLIC MEDIA'S LETTER OF INTENT TO PURCHASE KCPW'S 88.3 FM AND 105.3 FM ACCEPTED BY COMMUNITY WIRELESS OF PARK CITY

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH - Wasatch Public Media's Letter of Intent to purchase KCPW's 88.3 and 105.3 FM frequencies and other assets necessary to operate KCPW in Salt Lake City was accepted by Community Wireless of Park City on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. The $2,400,000 offer does not include 1010 AM, which is being purchased under a separate Letter of Intent by IHR Educational Broadcasting for $1,300,000.

"Using the building blocks that are already in place, I am excited to work together with the KCPW staff and our supporters to take this public radio station to the next level, meeting or exceeding our listener's expectations," stated Ed Sweeney, President of Wasatch Public Media. Sweeney added, "The Letter of Intent is the first major action in a series of steps to take place over the next several months, including formalizing an

Operating Agreement to manage the Station; securing bridge financing that can be verified in the next 60 days; entering into a formal Asset Purchase Agreement, and finally obtaining FCC approval to transfer the frequencies."

"As my family's been a long time investor in this community asset, I am extremely pleased that the board of Community Wireless of Park City saw the wisdom to keep KCPW alive. I'm confident that Wasatch Public Media has the expertise and financing to lead KCPW into the future," says Stephen Eccles Denkers, Executive Director of the Willard L. Eccles Foundation and board member of the Stephen G. & Susan Denkers Family Foundation.

Lara Jones, news director and host of KCPW's "Midday Metro" program, commented, "Our loyal supporters deserve a lot of credit for taking action to preserve KCPW's local news service. Jones added, "It starts and ends with the listeners -- without their support, KCPW doesn't exist. It was a dedicated group of KCPW listeners who reached out to the Community Wireless board, and, who I believe, really swung the odds in Wasatch Public Media's favor."

KCPW-FM will remain on the air in its current format. More details about the KCPW purchase transaction will be forthcoming at www.wasatchpublicmedia.org.
